Microcement (also known as micro-topping) is a mixture of cement and marble sand or polymer-based coating that is applied thinly to different surfaces, including walls and floors. Microcement comes in a powder form, which is then mixed with water. Microcement has grown in popularity over recent years as more designers, architects, builders, and homeowners see the practical and aesthetic benefits of using this stylish mixture.

Microcement was first used in France during the 1950s for industrial flooring and is still used for this purpose, along with various other uses.
